The Atarashii Budo Shu Kai

The “Atarashii Budo Shu Kai” (A.B.S.K) is an association of Warrior Martial Artists created to provide a collective point where military martial artists of like mind and spirit could gather and share with each other openly and graciously the infinite aspects of their individual warrior arts through networking.

These warriors strive to provide MWR (Morale, Recreation and Welfare) value to existing and retired service members and their dependents through their respective athletic sports talents (Category I – Category IV).

The two general classes of membership are Associated (voting) and Affiliated (non-voting). Associated members are Military Veterans of Active Duty and Retired Status to include the Reserve Components of the DoD. Dependents are authorized Associated membership as well upon proof of Dependent status.

Associated membership was concurrently extended to Law Enforcement as a whole since many veterans followed up their military service by continued public service within the Law Enforcement community.

After Sept 11, 2001 it was determined that civilian martial artists supportive of the American Republic and her ideals of Freedom and self rule should be allowed to show and further development and understanding of their heritage and patriotism.

Their discipline and self accepted obligation of continued support of America is rewarded by becoming affiliated with the mission of the ABSK.

Affiliated member rolls are comprised of martial artists of like mind who are not members of the Department of Defense or civilian Law Enforcement.
